Product Description
Handwoven in Northern Laos using traditional silk weaving techniques, but applied to cotton! The cotton is grown and spun in the Tai Lue village where the artisans weave. The Tai people live in the border areas between Laos, Yunnan, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam. The deep blue colour comes from the indigo used in the traditional dyeing techniques involved. Hardwearing and the polar opposite of mass produced fabric this scarf is a piece of wearable art.
