Hand painted teapot and cups

A traditional design, this tea set started life in Bat Trang village, near Hanoi in Vietnam. The most famous pottery village in the country, Bat Trang porcelain is rightly famous. The tea set is then hand painted in Hoi An and finished with brass. The process from start to finish is carried out by differently able artisans.

Started by Binh Le who lost the use of his legs at age 15, he treats his business like a family and encourages differently able people to become valued mambers of society through their skills. All staff are deaf and ordering is done through a clever system of pre-printed notes.
