The first member of the International Fair Trade Association in China, Threads of Yunnan was started in 1994 by Danish ex-pat Bitten Hogh. Working with Miao, Lisu, Dai and Yi people they help them make a decent living from their traditional craftsand have directly aided them to lift themsleves out of poverty.
